Depending on who’s talking, Walker Lukens is “one of the best songwriters in Texas” (Free Press Houston), “a non-sexually threatening version of Prince” (Austin Chronicle), and a “Rhythmic sound effect master” (All Songs Considered).
So, does that make him pop? Rock? “Who cares!” says NPR of the Austin-based singer, songwriter, podcaster, and producer. “Walker Lukens is loyal to only one category: excellence.”
Walker is also the co-creator and host of the song writing-confessional podcast called, The Song Confessional, where today’s top bands and songwriters turn anonymous stories into new original songs. Each episode features the “confession” that inspires the original song, the song premiere, and an interview with the songwriter.
Walker co-owns Paradise Lunch, a recording studio where he produced his fourth studio record, Accessible Beauty, which is out this summer. Over the years he’s Supported artists like Incubus, Lissie and Sophie B Hawkins. This will be Walkers first Irish & Northern Irish tour with 7 dates spanning Wicklow, Wexford, Meath, Dublin, Belfast & Mullingar.
Accessible Beauty is Lukens’ fourth studio album, (or the eighth if you count the four he made exclusively for ADULTSonly, the private vinyl subscription service he ran during 2020,) and the first album he will tour since ADULT in 2019. Lukens has been releasing music since 2012, including three critically acclaimed LPs of original songs, a collection of Willie Nelson covers without country instruments, and an ambient record– it seems like he never runs out of creativity or songs to sing. More shows promoting “The One Who Loves You” and the forthcoming album will be announced throughout the summer.
After a handful of years off the road indulging every creative whim, Lukens returns in indie-pop singer-songwriter mode– evident with this first catchy track that fans will undoubtedly have on repeat.

Former Savage Garden front man Darren Hayes recently made his welcome return to music with his first new songs & album in 11 years!
Titled “Homosexual” it’s a great album full of deep lyrics, 80s sounds & Darren’s unmistakable voice. The album comprises of 14 songs, most of which run over 5 mins long which is a nice change of pace from shorter songs & EPs by most artists these days.
The title & recently released music videos (see above) sees Darren embracing his sexuality which in the past he felt he never could. Being a long time fan of his it’s amazing to see him so happy, having fun in his videos & making great music again.
One of the stand out songs for me is the “All You Pretty Things” a tribute to the victims of the 2016 Pulse shootings. Beautifully sad lyrics along with a dance beat makes it one I’ve had on repeats for weeks!
” All you pretty things Came here to dance You came here to find love And you’re all such pretty things And you’ll remain pretty things Until the end of time “
South Florida singer and songwriter Q released his latest song “Stereo Driver” recently (along with a fantastic music video).
You may know Q from last years song “Take Me Where Your Heart Is” which has racked up over 63 Million Listens on Spotify!
Q just finished a European Tour & is someone to watch when he does his next Irish shows, he sold out his UK show with over 800 people in attendance & is an unbelievable performer. “Stereo Driver” sounds like an 80s song mixed in with a bit of Prince & Michael Jackson.
Have a look at the music video with the link below.
This show will mark the first time the full band will perform songs from its critically acclaimed fourth studio album Shore, released on Anti- in 2020 and currently nominated for the 64th GRAMMY Awards in the category of Best Alternative Music Album!
