Mark Olson (ex Jayhawks) is returning to Ireland for the first time in over 10 years! Mark is a founding member and former principal songwriter of the Jayhawks, the Minneapolis alt-country band he formed in 1985. Olson fronted the group through landmark albums including Hollywood Town Hall and Tomorrow the Green Grass, helping define the alt-country sound of the ’90s before stepping away from the band in 1995.
Since then, he’s built a rich and varied solo career — founding the Original Harmony Ridge Creekdippers and continuing to record with his wife, Norwegian musician Ingunn Ringvold.
Known for his warm, distinctive voice, alternate tunings, and knack for close harmony, Olson remains one of Americana’s most respected songwriters.
