I wont bore you with a long post about the Future Islands gig but if you’re there I’m sure you’d agree it was a great gig (& that lead singer Sam Herring is an absolute lunatic in the best way possible).

If you don’t know them you really should give them a shot.

Check out this video from The David Letterman Show.  It will really give you an idea of their total package; synths, mental dancing & Sam Herrings voice.  Even David Letterman is blown away by them.

If you like em take any chance you get to see the, they give their all in their concerts & its a great night out.

Lol Tolhurst one of the founding members of The Cure is coming to Dublin.  Lol started The Cure along with Robert Smith and was a consistent member up until “The Disintegration” album.  Lol recently released an autobiography about his time in The Cure to great reviews.  To celebrate the release Lol will be in Whelans July 25th for a special Q&A event followed by a DJ set with all of The Cure’s Greatest Hits.  Below are a link to tickets along with a video of Lol in action in “The Lovecats” music video.
